 September is  childhood cancer awareness month,  50% of the sale of these lovely handmade wire pendants will go to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, to help spread awareness, and  fund  pediatric cancer research. 

This month is special to Brie and Brooke, because their mommy is a childhood cancer survivor. Their mommy was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia when she was 3 years old. She was one of the fortunate ones, so many others lost their fight. 

This delicate handmade wire necklace measures approximately 1″ and encircles your choice of a pearlized gold, turquoise crackle, or jade colored green glass bead. The wire is gold toned copper, and hangs from a 24″ gold toned chain.

Childhood Cancer Facts 

  • More than 40,000 children undergo cancer treatment each year. The average age at diagnosis is 6 years old, while adults’ average age for cancer diagnosis is 66. Childhood cancer is not one disease – there are 16 major types of pediatric cancers and over 100 subtypes. The causes of most childhood cancers are unknown.
  • One in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 20 years old. Childhood cancer research is vastly and consistently underfunded. Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the U.S.
  • It is not just one disease. There are many types, which can be found in different places throughout the body. Childhood cancer (also called pediatric cancer) typically means a cancer that is found in children and teens, and sometimes young adults.

Shipping Policy

All products, (with the exception of downloadable files) are shipped via USPS first class or priority mail. At this time I do not ship outside of the US.

Refund Policy

Refunds will be given on item returned in unused condition, in original packaging within 14 days of receipt. If item is damaged in shipping, please do not discard packaging, take photo of  damaged item and packaging, so that I can file a claim with USPS.

Personalized items are non refundable, unless a mistake was made by me in printing or spelling.

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

Orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of ordering. Any refunds or exchanges will be processed upon receipt of item in unused condition, no forced returns will be accepted.

    Shipping Information

    All packages are shipped by First Class Mail between 1-2 business days after the invoice is paid. I ship from a smoke-free, and Cizo (a.k.a. Princess Nugget) cat friendly home. There is a $4.50 flat rate postage charge. Shipping cost outside of the United States will be based on location. I can ship with insurance, at an additional cost.

    Custom Orders 

    Custom orders are encouraged and welcomed! There is a 50% non-refundable fee. That deposit may fluctuate if the design requires additional supplies or labor. That fee is also a commitment to purchase the item. It is a contract between the designer and buyer. On average, custom orders are finished in 7-10 days.

    Jewelry Alterations

    Most jewelry pieces can be modified. Depending on inventory, I can alter the size by adding or removing beads. Any charm can be removed at no cost. Exchanging beads will likely change the cost. Additional labor may also alter the price. Any increase in cost will need to be paid before the alterations begin. Please send a Facebook message with any questions.

    Stretch Bracelet Tips:

    The most important tip for maintaining the brand-new look of your bracelet is to keep it out of water. Stretch bracelets are on average 7 inches before finished and tied. 

    I recommend rolling the bracelet on and off instead of stretching it wide to pass over your knuckles. The thread is an elastic like any other. The more you tug and pull, the quicker it will lose its elasticity. 

    The thread is stretched before and after beading to extend the life of the thread and improve flexibility. It is closed with three square knots for longevity and finished with a drop of super glue for maximum security.
