This year holidays seem to be hitting just a little bit harder. Whatever you think about the virus, the one fact no one can deny is that most of us have lost or know someone who has lost someone to Covid. We know people that have lost family, friends, jobs and more. So many people have changed careers because of it. Many found comfort in things from the past  and took the time to relearn some of those things from your memories. In all the turmoil of the last year, one thing I refuse to see as anything other than a miracle is people slowing back down. People finding comfort in their families. A meal around the table together. Letting their creative sides out to play. It feels like the past and the future coming together in unexpected ways. Traditions are becoming more important than ever and there is a pull to preserve the way things were done before things became so automated.

Mother’s Day is already filled with thoughts of past and future Moms and the impact they have made. Handmade is a huge part of those traditions and making new ones in the future. I love feeling the spring in the air. It seems somewhat pivotal in a way. Last spring so much was just beginning, not all of which was good. It may be optimistic to think that we have moved past the long year we have had but I am going to stick with it and look forward to a better year.

So much has happened in the last year to move us to a much more productive and blessed community. I am so impressed with how our shop owners have stepped up and made it happen. I f you haven’t read about how we got to this point, you should read our story here and see for yourself how far we have come! Thankfully, what has not changed with this community is our commitment to the tradition of true handmade while embracing more modern styles and techniques. We started in handmade and years later it is still our passion. One thing we can promise you is that we will remain Obsessively Handmade.

This is a Wristlet/Clutch with a functional pocket on the front. Big enough to hold your wallet, cell phone, and a few essentials for when you don’t need a big purse. The Exterior is made with waterproof canvas (although it’s not totally waterproof, it does hold up better than regular canvas).  This bag is fully lined with cotton fabric,.

Ceramic Assemblage Snowman Decoration “Cecil”:

Cecil was made using a a ceramic snowman that I repainted white and glittered him all over! His hat is a silver shaker lid with a vintage rhinestone brooch on top and silver garland trim around the rim! He is also wearing a blue fur feather scarf with a beautiful blue and rhinestone bracelet piece on the side. He’s wearing two blue buttons and his nose is made from Fimo clay

Cecil stands approximately 6 1/2″ tall.

This super fluffy stand out petticoat has two layers of soft organdy that keeps shape and fluffs out twirly skirts and dresses, perfect for photos and pageants! Satin waist with elastic makes for a comfortable fit. Unlike other cheaply made petticoats, we do not use tulle. Tulle is more abrasive on the skin and not as comfortable as our soft organdy petticoat.
